The seafront promenade in Playa del Inglés: Paseo Costa Canaria
Along the coast in Playa del Inglés is a busy pedestrian promenade, the Paseo Costa Canaria. It has a lot of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. With its many high-rise hotels, apartment complexes and shopping centers Playa del Inglés will win no prizes for its architecture and refined atmosphere. But this, in the sixties built holiday resort, seems unbeatable when it comes to holiday fun.
The downside to Playa del Inglés
Playa del Inglés also has its other sides. It is to be expected that you are approached on the street by people to lure you to some restaurants or bars. Be aware that they are working on a commission base. In the hotels and apartments on the beach and in the center of Playa del Inglés the evening can be rather noisy by music and public. Because of bad maintenance on the buildings Playa del Inglés looks a bit old and does not really breath luxury.
